Which trim levels are there?
There are two trim levels available on the Chevrolet Bolt EV. The first of these trims is the LT. This base, LT, is available with standard features like 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7.2-kWh onboard charger, LED daytime running lights, a 10.2 inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, keyless ignition and entry, a rearview camera, xenon headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, folding rear seats, automatic climate control, a configurable gauge cluster display, two USB ports, and OnStar communication. In addition to all this, you can also add the Comfort and Convenience package for an automatic heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated front seats. You can also add the Driver Confidence I package or even a cargo area floor cover as well. The Premier trim is next with features like all of the above, plus cargo roof rails, ambient interior lighting, a top-down parking camera system, a camera-based rearview mirror, a center rear armrest, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, and many available additional options. Some of the available options for the Premier trim would be the Infotainment package and the Driver Confidence II package.
What are the standard safety and security features?
Standard safety features for the Chevrolet Bolt EV would include ten various airbags, a Teen Driver mode, a rear window defogger, a LATCH system, lock control, OnStar services, safety belt indicators, a remote panic alarm, a tire inflator kit, four-wheel antilock brakes, and a rear vision camera. With the Driver Confidence I package includes lane change alert, rear parking assist, rear cross traffic alert, and side blind zone alert. The Driver Confidence II package adds forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, low speed forward automatic braking, front pedestrian braking, IntelliBeam headlights, and a following distance indicator.
What is the engine capable of?
Within a Chevrolet Bolt EV is a powerful engine making it run. What you will find in the 2018 is an AC synchronous electric motor with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This engine has power to output 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. The EPA has given this engine a fuel economy estimate of 128 MPGe in the city and 110 MPGe on the highway. The EPA has also estimated that on a full charge this engine can get you up to 238 miles. Available to all owners is also a 240V home-charging station that replenishes the battery in just nine hours or use a DC Fast Charging capability for a short 90 mile trip in a charge time of just half an hour.
