What are some of the major highlights of the all-new Blazer?
There are many parts of the 2019 Blazer that we are excited about. One special feature that is available is a Hitch View, which is perfect for those looking to tow with their Blazer. The system helps the driver align the hitch perfectly with the trailer. Speaking of towing, with the 3.6-liter V6 engine the Blazer can tow up to 4,500 pounds! The most noticeable highlight is the exterior, as it has muscular proportions and a strong grille that is impossible to miss. Going inside the Blazer you’ll find that it is a driver-centric interior, and has a distinctive look no matter the model that is chosen. There are plenty of models to choose from, as you can have the Sporty RS, or you can have added luxury with the Premier. Cargo is no problem for the Blazer, as you can have up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold down the second-row seats. You can also adjust the rear seats. If you’re worried about managing all of the cargo that fits in the Blazer, then there is also an available Chevy-first cargo management system that includes a cargo fence and a rail system. Finally, there is an available panoramic dual-pane power sunroof, plenty of available active safety features, and even an advanced twin-clutch AWD system that you can add.
What engine comes with the Blazer?
The new Blazer is run by a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that can produce up to 188 pound-feet of torque and 193 horsepower. There is engine available, a 3.6-liter V6, which can create 269 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. Both engines work with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is also standard, although there are all-wheel drive models. Every model comes with Traction Select, which allows drivers to make adjustments to the driving mode depending on the road conditions, and as the road conditions change. Higher models, like the RS and Premier, come with twin-clutch AWD technology which adds traction for those kinds of road conditions.
What technology can I expect to find?
Technology is one of the biggest perks of the 2019 Blazer. There are over six USB ports available, along with the extra important wireless charging. The RS and Premier trims come standard with a hands-free power liftgate with Bowtie logo projection, a rear camera mirror, adaptive cruise control, and heated outboard rear seats. Other impressive technology features include hitch guidance which you’ll find available with the 3.6-liter engine. You can also find hitch view, an electronic-locking glove box, an automatic heated steering wheel, and automatic heated/ventilated front seats.
